WYONG FIELD DAY MINI CONTEST UNIVERSITY

As a new part of the Wyong Field Day, Saturday 23rd. February will see a "Mini Contest University"

Details:

Location: Lecture Room, 1st. floor of the race club building at Wyong Racecourse.

Date / Time:  23rd. February 2013 - 10am to 4pm. (lunch 12:30-2pm).

Cost: No charge.

Registration is open (and essential) - register your wish to attend by email to contests@ccarc.org.au

By kind permission from Tim, K3LR and the Dayton contest university organisation, the 2013 Wyong Field Day will see a mini-version of the CTU specialising on an introduction to the basics of contesting.

The "MCU" will take the form of a series of presentations on basic DX and contest practices leading into an open floor discussion on points covered.

This is the first time that this has been run in Australia and as such, although entry will be free, there will be a limited number of places meaning that registration is essential.  Just "rocking up" on the day and hoping to get in may cause disappointment.

Due to lack of space at Wyong on the Sunday (and the likely wish of MCU attendees to see all the other components of the field day), the MCU will be held on the Saturday.

Those attending the MCU and the field day "proper" may like to take advantage of the accommodation information that is posted elsewhere on this web site. The list of hotels and motels have not been verified as to whether they are good or bad, this is purely a list of options.

We are happy to announce that the keynote speaker will be:  Trent Sampson VK4TS, Wireless Institute of Australia - Director for Awards and Contests
